Studiqly takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data We Collect

  • Account data: Name, email address, phone number, country
  • Order data: Subject, instructions, uploaded files, deadline, academic level
  • Payment data: Payment confirmation (we do not store card details — Stripe handles this)
  • Communication data: Messages between you and our team
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited (via privacy-friendly analytics)

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To process and fulfil your academic support request
  • To communicate with you about your order
  • To send transactional emails (order confirmation, status updates, invoices)
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To improve our services (anonymised analytics only)

3. Legal Basis

We process your data based on: (a) contract performance (fulfilling your order); (b) legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement); (c) consent (marketing emails, if opted in).

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

  • Supabase (database and file storage — EU/US servers)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Resend (transactional email delivery)
  • Vercel (hosting)

We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and order data for up to 24 months after your last activity, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion (see section 7).

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication. We use optional analytics cookies only with your consent (you'll be asked on first visit).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
